Raksha Bandhan Greetings
This is a rare festival in practice of its type that is marked as a great symbol of love sacrifice and protection that a person owes to his sister. Raksha Bandhan is a festival celebrated among the Indian community, a girl ties a ribbon of silk,
Rakhi on his brother's wrist. There is no limitation in terms of age, caste, creed, date or location to celebrate such a nobel festival.
Females tie rakhi and offer sweets to brothers. Often a sister sends Rakhi by courier or post to his beloved brothers asking their well-being. In return a brother brings gifts in form of money, ornaments toys, or clothing for their sisters. This a form of festivals which makes the family relationship much stronger and both brothers and sisters are reminded to take into account the well-being of their family members.
The festival is also celebrated between males and females of non-family members when the person gets obliged to provide lifelong protection to the woman or girl. Right from the ancient history, the charm of Raksha Bandhan is as bright as ever, but due to the hectic lifestyle and mobile world, brothers and sisters are not able to join together to celebrate the festival. So a girl occassionaly sends the Rakhi by post to their brothers. More often, it is the sisters who visit their brothers home to tie rakhi and offer them sweets after their traditional Puja in the morning.
